They toured the Federal Prison on Alcatraz Island where notorious gangster Al “Scarface” Capone (1899-1947) and murderer Robert “Birdman of Alcatraz” Stroud (1890-1963) served time.  No inmate ever escaped from “the Rock”.

The favorite ride was the world famous Santa Cruz classic wooden roller coaster built in 1924.

They stayed at the Cameron House and experienced food from their talented Chinese Chief, had interactions with after school program kids at Cameron House, and excursions around Chinatown.
